Photo: Jana Cristofano<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"recipe-card\"><\/p>\n<h3>Strawberry Banana Overnight Chia Oats<\/h3>\n<p class=\"servings\">Makes 2 servings<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/2 cup mashed ripe banana<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon lemon juice<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup mashed strawberries<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon vanilla<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon maple syrup (optional)<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon chia seeds<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup gluten-free rolled oats<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup unsweetened plantbased milk (I use cashew milk, but then the recipe is no longer nut-free)<\/li>\n<li>Pinch finely ground sea salt (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In a jar, place all ingredients in the order they appear. It is important to mix the lemon juice in with the banana first, to help prevent the banana from turning brown overnight. Once all ingredients have been added, put the lid on the jar and shake to combine. Place in the refrigerator overnight or for 6 to 8 hours.<\/p>\n<p>In the morning, pour the desired amount into a bowl or a parfait glass and top or layer with toppings such as berries, nuts, or seeds.
