Place the butter in a 10-\u00adinch cast-\u00adiron skillet and set the skillet in the oven so the butter melts.<\/p>\n<p>Whisk the flour and sugar together in a small bowl until thoroughly combined, at least 30 seconds. Whisk in the milk. Remove the hot skillet from the oven and pour the batter onto the hot butter. Sprinkle the strawberries over the top of the batter.<\/p>\n<p>Bake the cobbler for 40 to 50 minutes, until the batter has risen around the fruit, the top is light brown, the edges are darker brown, and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean (avoiding a strawberry). Serve warm.
