Add the quinoa, reduce to a simmer, cover with a lid and cook for 15 minutes, fluffing up the grains halfway through with a fork for extra volume.<\/p>\n<p>Cook until the grains are tender and the water has been absorbed. Set aside to cool.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, add the peas, asparagus and broccoli to a steamer set over a saucepan of simmering water and steam for 3 to 4 minutes, or until just tender. Set the vegetables aside.<\/p>\n<p>Add the cooked quinoa, green vegetables and pomegranate seeds to a large bowl together with the basil and almonds, and mix well. Season with pepper.
