When hot, add the olive oil, onion, and bay leaf and cook, stirring often, until the onions are golden brown, about 5 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Add the garlic, cumin, salt, pepper, and turmeric, mix well, and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.<\/p>\n<p>Add the radish, lentils, and stock and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce the heat, and simmer for 20\u201330 minutes, until the lentils are well cooked.<\/p>\n<p>Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
