Slice one side of the potato so you have an even-cutting surface.<\/p>\n<p>Slice potatoes lengthwise into \u00bc-1\u20442\u201d thick planks. Slice planks into 1\u20442\u201d thick sticks.<\/p>\n<p>Place slices into a large bowl and cover with water. Allow the fries to soak for about 30 minutes. Drain the water.<\/p>\n<p>Place the fries in the air fryer basket. Air fry at 350\u00b0F\/177\u00b0C for 2 minutes to dry them.<\/p>\n<p>Place the fries in a large bowl. Generously spray them with oil.
