Your Vote Counts in Egg Contest

If you fancy yourself as a recipe contest judge you can have a crack at it now. The national egg recipe contest, “America’s Best Recipe Contest,” sponsored by Eggland’s Best is calling on the public to cast their vote online for their favorite in the Northeast region now through July 4, 2016.

The voting will continue for the other regions as the semi-finalists are rolled out through October 2016.

Egg contest features state-inspired recipes

The national contest challenged the public to submit their state-inspired recipes for a chance to be named the best recipe in America. Only the Northeast semi-finalist recipes have been announced so far.

Although the recipe submission date has passed, Eggland’s Best is calling on all fans to help them determine which recipe will be named “Best in Region.”

Once the “Best in Region” recipes from across the U.S. are selected and announced, fans will once again be asked to take part in some friendly competition and vote for the recipe they believe should be named the Grand Prize Winner and earn the title of “America’s Best Recipe.” The Grand Prize winner will be awarded $10,000 and a year’s supply of Eggland’s Best eggs, “Best in Region” winners will receive $1,000 each, and State winners will receive prizes from Eggland’s Best.

We hope these phenomenal recipes inspire people to think of new ways to enjoy the great taste and health benefits of eggs.”

• Connecticut: Devon D., Nutmeg State Cheddar Apple Baked French Toast
• Delaware: Gilda L., Apple-Scrapple Breakfast Sliders
• Maine: Joyce S., Nor’east Lobster Bake Quiche
• Maryland: Danielle D., Smoky Egg Muffins with Oyster Mushroom “Facon” and Maryland Blue Crab
• Massachusetts: Sarah M., Spiced Corncakes with Blueberry-Molasses Compote
• New Hampshire: Patricia E., Zucchini Bacon and Egg Bake
• New Jersey: Donna W., Eggland’s Sunnyside-Up Eggs on Pork Roll Hash
• New York: Etsy M., Apple Vanilla Bread Pudding
• Pennsylvania: Janet W., Shoo Fly Pie
• Rhode Island: Valerie S., Johnny Cakes and Lobster Eggs Benedict
