Which diet will help you lose more weight, low carb or low fat? The results are in thanks to a small study funded by the National Institutes of Health.
After 12 months, the results of the study of 148 men and women revealed those on the low-carbohydrate diet had greater decreases in weight, fat mass, cholesterol levels than those on the low-fat diet.
What does this mean for the dieter? Consider skipping or limiting high carb foods such as pasta, bread, sugary cereals, potatoes, and granulated sugar. Of course, the bottom line in any diet is input vs. output but this study might prompt those who are overweight to consider what they consuming.
