Healthy Aging®, the multi-media platform targeting the active 45-plus audience, announces a new partnership with New Zealand-based, Active Adventures (ActiveAdventures.com). The international active adventure tour company has more than two decades of experience in tours to New Zealand, South America, Nepal and Europe. The Healthy Aging® platform includes the Healthy Aging® website, Healthy Aging® Magazine, Healthy Aging® newsletter, social media and the national observance month, September is Healthy Aging® Month.
The partnership between Active Adventures and Healthy Aging® is a natural one since both groups focus on active lifestyles.
Active Adventures began in 1996 with just three clients and has grown into a sophisticated adventure guiding company offering unique trips around the world.
“Our goal is to share with you the grandeur of the outdoors, the pleasure of good company and the warmest hospitality on our incredible adventure vacations,” Paul McDonald, marketing manager for Active Adventures said. “But, most importantly, we wish to ensure that you achieve more than you would on your own. We’ve always believed that an active trip can make the difference between ‘visiting’ versus really ‘experiencing’ a place, from your own two feet, beyond the paddle of your kayak or from the seat of your bike.”
The secret to Active Adventures success lies in their guides who take great pride in sharing their local knowledge of the host countries and professional guidance of extraordinary wilderness experiences.
Active travelers can check out the warmer weather New Zealand trips which run from October through April or the winter trips from May through September. Hiking, cycling and kayaking are just some of the ways travelers can choose to see New Zealand. Trips are offered at all levels of activity and in groups small and large.
One such special trip offered is called “Elegant South.” This walking experience offers the opportunity to explore the best hidden gems from the top to the bottom of the South Island … from the picture perfect inlets and hidden coves of the Marlborough Sounds and the golden sands and lush forest of Abel Tasman to the famous wines of central Otago in Queenstown and the grandeur of Milford Sound. Travelers can hike as little or as much as they wish. Generally, the walks are two to three hours in length. Accommodations are in beautiful lodges. All groups are accompanied by two guides.
“We are proud to partner with Active Adventures,” Carolyn Worthington, publisher of Healthy Aging® said. “Our audience is active, sophisticated and always looking for the experiential type of trip. We feel these unique tours in New Zealand are very special thanks to the experienced, local guides. Over the next several months, we will be sharing articles about the New Zealand tours through the Healthy Aging® website, magazine and newsletter. Our goal is to offer readers unique places to visit … places they might not ordinarily find on their own. Active Adventures is one of these unique adventure guiding companies.”
