December 2023 Senior Skiing Discounts …
Senior skiers and snowboarders are celebrated on the slopes in Colorado, where Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) member ski areas welcome seniors to take advantage of dozens of deals, discounts, and special events.
Below is a summary of Colorado ski area offerings for seniors for the 2023 – 2024 season.
Arapahoe Basin
Currently, seniors ages 70+ with a valid ID can receive 30% off lift tickets. For more information, visit www.arapahoebasin.com.
Aspen Snowmass
Seniors at Aspen Snowmass are offered two season pass options for the upcoming winter season. Those between the ages of 65 and 69 can purchase an Aspen Snowmass Premier senior pass for $2,244 through December 1 and for $2,424 after December 2. Premier senior passes come with a complimentary Ikon Base pass as well. Silver seniors (70+) can purchase a Premier pass for $749 before December 1 and for $799 after December 2.
Aspen Snowmass also offers discounted lift tickets for seniors 65+. Purchasing lift tickets at least seven days in advance and for multiple days will give the best rates available. For more information, visit Aspen Snowmass
Echo Mountain
Echo Mountain has an Unlimited Senior Season Pass as well as a Value Senior Season Pass. Prices and details below:
- Value Senior Season Pass: Currently $259 and includes blackout dates. Valid for ages 65+
- Unlimited Senior Season Pass: Currently $359 and does not include any blackout dates. Valid for ages 65+There are also Midweek Season Passes available for $129, and even though they aren’t senior-specific, it is very popular with seniors who have more free time during the middle of the week. Granby Ranch
Seniors between the ages of 65 and 75 can buy a season pass for the 2023-24 season for $619. Golden Seniors (age 76+) pay only $35. For more information, visit www.granbyranch.com.
Howelsen Hill Ski Area Steamboat Springs
Howelsen Hill features a variety of season passes, including special senior rates: Alpine Pass – $195, Nordic Pass – $160, Combo Pass – $266. Plus, the historic ski area offers discounted daily lift ticket rates for anyone 65 years of age and older. The best deal is Ski Free Sunday, where skiing/riding is free every Sunday of the season. Loveland
Seniors 70+ can enjoy deep discounts on season pass products, while skiers and riders aged 60-69 can also take advantage of the daily lift ticket deals during the regular season. For more information, SkiLoveLand .
Monarch Mountain
Monarch Mountain’s Super Senior Pass (age 69 and over) is $25 and good for Monarch Mountain only. Ages 62-68 can purchase a pass for $509 currently which includes all of their reciprocal partners. Season Passes – Monarch Mountain (skimonarch.com) Peak Season Senior day tickets are $139, however, substantial savings may be had by purchasing online prior to 11:00 pm the day before their visit.
Powderhorn
Skiers age 75 and over at Powderhorn can purchase a “Mission: Affordable” season pass. This offers unlimited skiing and riding during the 2023-24 season for just $29.
Powderhorn also invites seniors ages 50+ to join the Young at Heart group every Tuesday for small groups with intermediate and above skills to explore the mountain and build relationships. Discounted lift discounts will be offered. For more information, visit www.powderhorn.com.
Purgatory Resort
Those between the ages of 65-75 can purchase a Power Pass which offers unlimited access to eight ski resorts plus partner days at several additional resorts, starting at $549. Super Seniors (75+) ski for free. Purgatory also offers ski clinics designed for skiers and riders ages 55 and up. For more information, visit purgatory.ski.
Steamboat
Steamboat Resort offers a discount on single-day and multi-day lift tickets for seniors ages 70+. Rates vary throughout the season. For more information, visit www.steamboat.com.
Telluride Ski Resort
The Palmyra Pass, for skiers 80+, grants free and unlimited access to Telluride. Seniors above the age of 65 also receive a discount on daily and multi-day lift tickets, available online, with prices varying throughout the season. The unlimited season pass for seniors costs $1,995.
The Silver Skier program offers the opportunity to explore the mountain and meet others who share the same passions over a 4-session clinic for Telluride skiers over the age of 50. For more information, visit www.tellurideskiresort.com.
