$1000 in prize money being awarded in Facebook-based contest
Whether it’s the decades old family recipe for a casserole, or your own version of a sweet dessert, Bruce’s Yams, America’s number one seller of canned sweet potatoes is looking for the best recipes featuring any of its delicious sweet potato products in the “Bruce’s Yams Holiday Recipe Contest.”
“We know Americans consume nearly five pounds of sweet potatoes per person per year,” says Annie Ham Marketing Director of McCall Farms, the parent company of Bruce’s Yams. “And we know there are nearly unlimited ways to use the sweet potato from mashed to baked and everything in between. So we’d love for our customers to share their favorite recipe using our sweet potatoes.”
It’s easy to enter the contest. Just go to the Bruce’s Yams Facebook page and submit your most creative, and unique holiday season sweet potato and yam recipes. Your submission must include a photo of your finished dish with the Bruce’s Yams® can in the photo.
Recipes must use a Bruce’s Yam product as the primary or secondary ingredient, have a holiday theme and include 10 or fewer ingredients not counting salt, pepper or cooking spray.
“We’re excited to see the recipes,” adds Ham. “It’s being facilitated through Facebook, so fellow Facebook fans will vote on which they think it the best one. The recipe with the most votes per category, excluding the overall winner, will win the prize for that category.”

Grand Prize: Best Overall Recipe: $400
Best Bread/Dessert Recipe: $200
Best Soup/Appetizer Recipe: $200
Best Entrée/Side: $200
