About the Show
The New York Times Travel Show, the largest and longest-running travel trade and consumer convention in North America, marks its 16th year in 2019.
Healthy Aging® Booth Special: Random Drawing for Free Vacation Stay
Healthy Aging® Magazine invites visitors to their booth, #448, for active travel ideas and an opportunity to win a free vacation stay through a random drawing. Two of the vacation stays offered are a 5-night stay at Bar W Guest Ranch in Whitefish, Montana or the luxurious Iberostar Grand Portals Nous in Mallorca, Spain.
Trade Day Kicks Off the Show
The show opens with Trade Day, open exclusively to travel industry professionals and writers, on Friday, January 25, 2019. Trade is invited to the Healthy Aging® Magazine booth #448 to sign up for the active travel guide to be published on the magazine’s website as a travel resource.
Consumer Days
Saturday, January 27, and Sunday, January 28 will be open to the general public, as well as travel professionals and media. The two full days will be packed with cultural presentations and performances, food demonstrations, and one-on-one conversations with travel experts and influencers on a myriad travel topics for diverse demographics.
Road Trips Across America Seminar
Healthy Aging® Magazine will lead a panel of active travel experts on Sunday, January 27 from 12 to 1pm. The theme is “Road Trips across America” and will feature three book authors.
The Great American Road Trip is one of our country’s most vibrant traditions—the open road, the diverse beauty of the American landscape, and the discovery of the country’s regional culture and cuisines.
Attendees are invited to join moderator, Carolyn Worthington, publisher Healthy Aging® Magazine, and a panel of road trippers to learn where to experience the historic, quirky, and unique soul of America.
Panelists include authors Jamie Jensen, Road Trip USA; Margaret Littman, Moon Nashville to New Orleans Road Trip; Jason Frye, Moon Blue Ridge Parkway Road Trip; Stuart Thornton, Moon California Road Trip.
Attendees will be entertained and informed by the experts’ firsthand stories, while they learn the best American road trip routes and what to see along the way. Book signings by all authors will follow at the onsite bookstore.
All attendees wishing to participate in the Healthy Aging® Magazine random drawing for free vacation stays will have the opportunity to have their badges scanned and entered in the drawing at the door of the seminar as well as at the Healthy Aging® booth.
A previous panel led by Worthington attracted an audience of over 300 show-goers looking for ideas on where to go next.
Meet the Experts Panel Features Healthy Aging® Publisher
Carolyn Worthington, publisher, will also lead a “Meet the Experts” session where show-goers can meet her and ask for ideas on a one-on-one basis. Travelers look for ideas on where to travel solo, active destinations with moderate exercise, and even ideas for where to retire beyond the usual U.S. sun coasts.
